Bearable alternative

Bearable is a dedicated health tracker for people managing chronic conditions, with symptoms, mood, medication, sleep and lifestyle factors in one daily check-in and correlations computed for you. Log App is a plain diary where you decide the variables, log each episode when it happens, and get per-symptom stats and a plain-language summary. This page is for the day you feel Bearable asks for more than you want to give it.

Facts about Bearable come from its public feature list as of September 2026 (bearable.app) and are kept general on purpose. If something has changed, tell us and we fix the page.

Who each one suits

Better for

Bearable is better if

  • You manage a chronic condition and want medication, sleep and factors in one structured check-in.
  • You want correlation charts and a report to hand to a clinician without building anything yourself.
  • You want Apple Health data pulled in automatically.

Log App is better if

  • You want a lightweight record of episodes, when, how bad, how long, what came before, and nothing else asked of you.
  • Your variables are your own, such as a specific trigger list or a migraine aura score.
  • You want a photo or a voice note on an episode, or the location pinned.
  • You already log other things in Log App and want symptoms next to them.
Switching

Moving from Bearable to Log App

There is no automatic transfer yet. CSV import is planned and tracked on the public roadmap; until it ships, the honest path is to start fresh and keep your old data where it is.

  1. Install Log App and pick "Symptom Diary" during setup. It comes with Symptom (tracked individually) and Severity out of ten; add Duration in minutes or a Trigger text variable in log settings.
  2. Decide which of Bearable's factors you really use and make each one a variable or a tag. Fewer fields mean you keep logging.
  3. Log episodes as they happen rather than in a daily check-in; the timer measures duration for you.
  4. Keep Bearable's history where it is or use its export if it offers one for your plan. Log App has CSV import on the roadmap; there is no automatic transfer today.
Questions

Frequently asked

Is Log App a medical device?

No. It is a record you keep for yourself and can show to your doctor. It does not diagnose, and neither this page nor the app replaces medical advice.

Does Log App find correlations like Bearable?

Not as charts. The per-symptom stats show frequency and severity, and the AI summary reads your entries and notes and describes what changed. For factor-by-factor correlation charts, Bearable is the stronger tool.

Can I import my Bearable data?

Not yet. CSV import is planned and tracked on the public roadmap.

Can I track medication in Log App?

Yes, as a variable on the symptom log or as its own log; there is a ready-made medication log in the app's catalogue.

The short version

Bearable is the more complete health tracker, and if you live with a condition that benefits from correlation reports, that completeness is worth the daily check-in. Log App is for the shorter record: an episode, a score, a note, and stats you can read out at the appointment. Both are records, not medical devices.
